Educators from Haywood Innovative and Haywood Early College are coming together regularly through Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to strengthen vertical alignment and build a seamless learning experience for students. During these collaborative conversations, teachers review the current Standard Course of Study, share effective instructional strategies and classroom resources, and prepare for upcoming changes to academic standards. By learning from one another and exchanging ideas, teachers are working together to ensure that skills, knowledge, and learning expectations connect purposefully and build progressively from one grade level or course to the next.
